Accountant
Maintains day-to-day accounts, vouchers and reconciliations for the EV business.
The role
The Accountant maintains the day-to-day books of accounts, vouchers, reconciliations and statutory records for the EV business, giving the CFO an accurate and current financial base to work from. Because this is a new setup, getting the accounting foundations right from the start matters, since errors compound quickly once volumes grow.
Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day transactions, vouchers and journal entries accurately
- Maintain vehicle stock, vendor and customer ledgers
- Perform periodic bank, stock and ledger reconciliations
- Assist the CFO with GST/TDS filings and audit documentation
- Prepare periodic financial reports and MIS as required by the CFO
Requirements
- Education: B.Com / M.Com or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-6 years in accounting, preferably with exposure to automobile dealership or inventory-heavy accounting.
- Tally/ERP accounting software and MS Excel
- GST, TDS and basic statutory compliance
- Bank reconciliation and vendor/customer ledger management
- Inventory and stock-funding accounting
