Car Evaluator
Evaluates used/exchange vehicles for trade-in and resale.
The role
The Car Evaluator inspects and appraises used and exchange vehicles, including used EVs, to arrive at a fair trade-in valuation that supports the sales process while protecting the business's margins on resale.
Responsibilities
- Inspect exchange/used vehicles and arrive at accurate valuations
- Prepare evaluation reports and maintain records of vehicles assessed
- Work with the Used Car Consultant and Sales Consultants on exchange deal structuring
Requirements
- Education: ITI/Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical trade preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years in used-vehicle evaluation.
- Vehicle inspection and valuation techniques
- Understanding of used-vehicle market pricing
- Basic understanding of EV battery health/condition indicators for evaluating used EVs
