Safely drives company vehicles for test drives, transfers and courtesy-car duty.
The role
The Driver safely operates company vehicles for test drives, inter-location movement, courtesy-car deployment and official errands, representing the dealership on the road at every trip. Because a test-drive vehicle or courtesy car often creates the customer's first physical impression of the brand, this role carries responsibility not just for safe driving but for vehicle presentation and basic upkeep between trips.
Responsibilities
- Drive vehicles for test drives, inter-location transfers, courtesy car deployment and official errands as assigned
- Plan routes to ensure punctual arrival for scheduled appointments
- Maintain the assigned vehicle's cleanliness, fuel levels and basic upkeep
- Report any damage or mechanical issue promptly
- Maintain trip records/logbook and ensure vehicle documents (RC, insurance, PUC) are valid and carried at all times
- Follow traffic rules and company safety guidelines at all times
- Report any traffic violation, accident or incident immediately to the reporting manager
Requirements
- Education: 10th pass; valid LMV driving licence.
- Experience: 2+ years of driving experience with a clean record.
- Safe driving practices and basic vehicle upkeep
- Familiarity with local routes
- Basic understanding of vehicle documents and traffic regulations
