The role
The Driver safely operates company vehicles, including commercial vehicle test drives, inter-location transfers and official errands, while representing the dealership responsibly on the road and keeping the assigned vehicle in good condition between trips.
Responsibilities
- Drive vehicles for test drives, inter-location transfers and official errands as assigned
- Plan routes to ensure punctual and safe arrival, particularly for highway movements
- Maintain the assigned vehicle's cleanliness and basic upkeep; report any damage or mechanical issue promptly
- Maintain trip records/logbook and ensure vehicle documents (RC, insurance, PUC) are valid and carried at all times
- Follow traffic rules and company safety guidelines at all times
Requirements
- Education: 10th pass; valid driving licence (LMV/HMV as applicable).
- Experience: 2+ years of driving experience with a clean record; commercial vehicle driving experience preferred.
- Safe driving practices and basic vehicle upkeep
- Familiarity with local and highway routes
- Basic understanding of commercial vehicle handling characteristics
