General Manager – Sales

Leads sales, marketing and customer-facing operations for the new EV business.

UrgentWalk-in

The role

The General Manager – Sales leads sales, marketing, digital engagement and dealer training for Mahavir Group's new electric vehicle (EV) business at Hyderabad West, building the go-to-market engine for a business that is new to both the Group and, for most customers, a new category of vehicle ownership. Because EV buyers often need more guidance on the product, running costs and charging ecosystem than a typical fuel-vehicle buyer, this role carries particular responsibility for ensuring the sales and marketing teams can educate customers confidently, alongside the usual volume and profitability targets.

Responsibilities

  • 01Own the outlet's overall sales volume, market share and profitability targets
  • 02Lead and review the Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Digital Engagement Manager and Internal Dealer Trainer
  • 03Plan manpower for volume-linked roles (Sales Consultant, Sales Team Leader, Sales Manager) in line with the Group's headcount norms as sales volumes grow
  • 04Ensure the sales and marketing teams can confidently address EV-specific customer questions on running cost, charging and ownership
  • 05Track competitor activity and market trends in the EV segment
  • 06Report sales performance, funnel health and market feedback to the Business Head regularly

Requirements

  • 01Education: Graduate/MBA in any discipline; Sales/Marketing specialization preferred.
  • 02Experience: 10-15 years in automobile retail, with at least 3-5 years in a sales leadership role handling a full sales function.
  • 03Dealership sales process, CRM and DMS systems
  • 04Team leadership across sales, marketing and digital engagement functions
  • 05Working knowledge of EV ownership economics (running cost, charging, incentives) to guide the team's customer messaging
  • 06Target setting, forecasting and dealer-norm-based manpower planning
