IT Manager
Manages the dealership's IT infrastructure, systems and data security across locations.
The role
The IT Manager is responsible for keeping the dealership's technology backbone (DMS/ERP, networks, hardware and data security) running reliably across all locations under the entity, so that Sales, Service, Accounts and CRM functions can operate without disruption. This role combines hands-on infrastructure management with vendor and stakeholder coordination and carries responsibility for protecting business-critical and customer data in line with OEM and statutory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the DMS/ERP, networking, servers, CCTV and hardware across all locations under the entity
- Plan capacity and upgrades to support business growth and new-location rollouts
- Provide first- and second-level IT support to all departments
- Coordinate with OEM/vendor IT teams for system integrations (CRM, DMS, etc.)
- Ensure minimum downtime for business-critical systems during outages
- Implement data backup, access control and cybersecurity best practices
- Ensure compliance with OEM IT/data guidelines
- Conduct periodic security reviews and coordinate remediation of gaps
- Supervise the IT Executive(s)
- Manage AMC and procurement of IT assets and vendor relationships
- Track IT spend against budget and recommend cost optimizations
Requirements
- Education: B.Tech / B.Sc in IT, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience: 6-8 years in IT infrastructure/systems management, preferably in a multi-location retail or automotive environment.
- Networking, DMS/ERP administration and hardware/server management
- Data backup and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Vendor management
- Working knowledge of OEM system integrations (e.g., lead-management/CRM platforms)
- Understanding of data-privacy obligations relating to customer information
- IT asset lifecycle and AMC/budget management
